Icardi: “Happy to be scoring again”

He scored and silenced his critics. Here are the words of Mauro Icardi, captain and striker of Nerazzurri: “I’m happy to be scoring again. People talked about the fact that I didn’t score, but in the end I only played two games. The goal that I scored was nice, even though it seemed easy it wasn’t. The goalkeeper was very big, I did a good job.”

“This year we are working hard on building a group and be a team until the end. This will lead us to do great things together. Carrying the captain’s armband is a nice thing, but we’re all captains. This time I’ll keep the armband (laughs). That of last week was dedicated to Pupi, this time I will keep it. The continuity that we are finding is important, in the last two years we have been too fluctuating.”
