Danilo D’Ambrosio talked with Inter Channel at the end of Inter – Cagliari:
“It went well as a central defender for me, it’s the first time I’ve played in that role in an official game, but I also did it in the Trofeo Berlusconi. That time I played together with Ranocchia. It’s different from being a wingback but what counts is the will to sacrifice and the will to win. The whole team had both tonight, we wanted to make it to the quarter finals by playing well and we did so. The coach is showing each match that there’s not a first and second team, what counts is the final result. I’ve gone through hard weeks but I’ve always felt like a part of the group, just like Montoya and Palacio and others who have played less.”
