Tomorrow Empoli’s coach Marco Giampaolo will face ‘his’ Inter. The coach has always been an Inter supporter and says the following to Gazzetta dello sport today:
“When my dad went to play football with his friends he always had a black and blue bag for his clothes and the shoes. At home, if we talked about football, we talked about Herrera’s Inter. The education at got those times makes me feel an antique man. My idol? Salvatore Bagni.”
Salvatore Bagni won the Scudetto with Napoli under Maradona but also played three years for Inter between 1981-1984. Interestingly, Bagni replaced Oriali at Inter and then left the club after a violent brawl with the president Ernesto Pellegrini.
