Numerous sources report that Fredy Guarin is close to join Shanghai Shenhua in China. Guarin who was a target for Jiangsu in the beginning seems to join another Chinese club instead. Jiangsu want to sign Ramires from Chelsea and therefore they have switched attention from the Inter midfielder. According to Premium Sport Inter and Shanghai Shenhua have agreed a deal worth 13 million euro’s for the transfer of the player.
Gazzetta dello sport also reports that these are decisive hours for Guarin’s move to China. The player is at Appiano today and could bid farewell to his teammates. Guarin himself has already agreed terms for Shanghai and is only waiting for Inter to accept the offer made from the Chinese club. Shanghai has their preseason camp in Spain which would mean that Guarin could reach his new teammates in just a couple of hours if the deal is to be done.
More than half an hour ago the RMC journalist Mohamed Bouhfasi reported that Fredy Guarin is set to join Shanghai and that the Colombian has already said goodbye to his teammates.
