Piero Ausilio was forced to stand in front of the cameras of Inter Channel due to Mancini’s suspension. It all began with some joking around with Nagatomo about whom Ausilio said:
“Exceptional lad, the only thing is that he won’t sign the extension, now I’ll get him in trouble with all the fans [jokes]. In the end we were a bit anxious but together we all knew how to suffer, getting Chievo far away from our goal. Handanovic didn’t make a save for 80 minutes, it was a good Inter. However, we need to be meaner, we need to score more goals otherwise we’re in for ugly surprises like against Carpi and Sassuolo.
“We have a strong team, we have a lot of quality, we can’t forget what happened prior to January 6th because we have a lot of resources. Today there were 11 on the pitch but also others on the bench who all provide the coach with options. We’re not worried about the formation or who plays, we leave that to others. The coach is working well with these lads, he has been lately and you cant invent anything in a short space of time.
“The satisfaction will arrive. I was on the sidelines as a Director, not because of Mancini’s suspension. It was a coincidence but don’t make a habbit out of it [jokes]. Kondogbia has already played in three different league’s, just like all youngsters he need time instead of focusing on his pricetag. When he plays he’s helpfull to the team, he brings a physical aspect, he’s generous and fights. We expect more from him because we know how strong he is but he doesn’t need to be what he isn’t. He will become one of the best midfielders in the world in these coming years.”
