Ronaldo: “Director at Inter? Maybe, you never know”
From memories, the current Inter and a future that could once again be black and blue, Ronaldo Luis Nazario De Lima covered several topics in an interview with Mediaset Premium. Opening by commenting about possibly being one of Thohir’s directors: “Maybe, you never know. At the moment I’m busy with a football school that I created, the Ronaldo Academy, and other projects as the team in America, but it would be a great pleasure to take on a challenge of this type with Inter. We can not rule anything out.”
Today a special meeting for the phenomenon: “I had lunch with Moratti, it was great because I feel part of the Nerazzurri family: Inter will always be my big family. We talked about everything, football and of our personal situations: in the past we have made mistakes, but we are forgiven. If he will ever sell the shares? I found him much more serene than before: before he was much more tense and now he is calmer. For me, no matter what he decides, he will always be the biggest Nerazzurri fan. If he becomes President again and wants to call me, I will go there: there are a few things to see, wait for the right moment, but I don’t exclude anything.”
The Brazilian then commented on the current Inter: “The last few games have gone badly, I hope that they recover and begin to win. Let’s see how this year ends: it’s a difficult time, but major purchases have been made. I’m confident, the fight for the title, if you ask me, is not over yet.” An opinion also on the moment of Icardi: “The attacker’s role is not easy, because you always have to score goals and scoring goals is always difficult. Mancini? He has a very strong tie with Inter. I don’t know how he is as a coach, but he is definitely one of the best in the world.”
Among the new champions and potential heirs, who would Ronaldo want to play with? “Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar… But the biggest for me is Pele, Maradona is in second place. Then Messi, Cristiano and Neymar. I don’t put myself in the ranking, it would be selfish, but if someone puts me in this list I would be happy. The Champions League? Barcelona, Real and Bayern are the favorites. A coach by whom I wanted to be coached? Mourinho and Guardiola.”
Then a consideration on his friend Buffon: “I left football five years ago while he and Totti still played. They are important pieces of the history of football.” Ronaldo ended the interview with a prediction for the Scudetto: “It’s still a long way to go for Juve, I see several teams that want to recover.”
