Massimo Moratti spoke about his lunch with José Mourinho in an interview with Calciomercato.com.

“With Mourinho it was a meeting among friends, made up of memories. In the future could he return to Inter? We did not talk about it, he’s thinking about his future, and Inter isn’t looking for other coaches. We relived 2010 and other memories of the past. This idea was born not long ago. A year ago we thought about having a reunion between those who had won the Champions League. Then we arranged for this Saturday. Between us it was a pleasure. An Inter as competitive as that of Mourinho? You have to ask the new management. A welcome to Mourinho? The Inter fans love him. Is he going to Manchester United? I’m not sure, I do not want to tell anyone. Ronaldo yesterday was a pleasure to have, as well as Mourinho. They are two people of great substance, they are on another level. Both came back with a sympathetic spirit. They came back talking in the same way as when they used to be here.”

“Mouringo said that professionals have arrived at Inter and the Interisti have left? Its good like what. He has been very kind and I thank him. He still has some of the Inter spirit in him though, those who have been inside could be with every team in the world, but Inter’s problems will always force him to feel more Interista. What did he have more of? Each has his own charcteristics. Mancini has raised us from a difficult situation, he gave us the strength to do well and we won, so it was very important to us and will certainly be that way in the future. Mourinho rose to this situation and gave even more, with a different character and more quickly, stayed during our times of success, and then he went on to win even more. They both love Inter. And frankly I’ve always known this, but today I realized even more how much Mourinho is fond of Inter and that period he spent with us. The current Inter? I am a fan of Inter, I am not a cynical ex professor. I never have been. I happened to be a president but I am also a fan. It hurts to see some results, but every Sunday I hope that the right result comes to share with everyone, the coach, the players and the president. I never lose confidence, since we can do impossible things. Inter-Samp? I expect them to be focused until the last minute. Juve? First there is Samp”.
