The former Leeds players Robbie Rogers who declared his homosexuality the 13th of February 2013 was interviewed by the Gazzetta Dello Sport and had following things to say:
“That confession changed my whole life. According to my experience, the footballing world is homophobic. The things are changing slowly thanks to those who confess their sexuality. I followed the argument between Sarri and Mancini in the Coppa Italia, and the footballing world would need a lot more persons like Mancini.”
Rogers is currently playing in the MLS for L.A. Galaxy.
