According to Tuttosport, Giovanni Gardini will be made official tomorrow as the new general director at Inter, basically taking over after Marco Fassone.
“Gardini will cover a double role, managing relations with Italian institutions and the Italian football federation and also manage the reports between the club, the first team and the youth teams regarding the sport side (not interfering in transfers, except for economic implications). Thohir wants Gardini to become a point of reference in these areas. At Appiano Gardini will reunite with Mancini who he knows from the 2003-04 season at Lazio that saw them win the Coppa Italia.”
Gardini is seen as someone who is well connected in Italy and can give Inter a hand in areas where the club is lacking.
