Bolingbroke: “Gardini the right man to replace Fassone”

In yesterday’s council meeting Giovanni Gardini was made official in the role as Chief Football Administrator. The former Verona director’s role was explained like this by Inter CEO Michael Bolingbroke;

“He will have a triple role; the first one will be about handling relationships within Uefa, the Lega Calcio and other clubs in Serie A. Gardini will also handle transfers with Ausilio, where the latter will have the technical responsibilities and Gardini the administrative aspects. Lastly Gardini will organize work at the Pinetina with yours truly. When Fassone left Inter I had to make a close examination of his tasks to understand if we needed to substitute him and Gardini seemed like the right person to me. He has the best competencies and a vision of football that is close to ours, not just the Italian one but global.”
