Cristiano Ronaldo suffered the same tragedy, ironically his father passing due to alcoholism, which is known to hold a predisposition through genetics, making Cristiano prone to the same fate, yet his career has flourished. Although, as you stated, footballers are only human beings, and just because they’re a strong footballer doesn’t necessarily mean they’re a strong person..
