Mancini to IC: “We had to play well to beat Napoli”

An excellent performance by Inter against Napoli which led to victory by two to zero. Inter coach Roberto Mancini spoke to Inter Channel after the match: “Tonight was a great match, considering the opponent we faced. They didn’t creat scoring chances and, clear of the absence of Higuain which shifts the balance, however, it was deserved. It’s true that the results change the mood of everyone, but we must look to the concreteness of the maturation of this team. We threw away points, but we won’t regret anything up to May 15. To beat Napoli we all had to play very well and we did it, the individual over time have improved and this can be seen. It will always happen. The formation? I waited until the last as usual, but we already had it in mind. There was only a decision between Biabiany and Brozovic, then we opted for Marcelo because of his characteristics as a central midfielder which makes him more capable to help on defense. When it comes to third place it’s not up to us, despite the victory tonight. We must always hope.”
