Geoffrey Kondogbia spoke to L’Equipe about the national team and the Champions League spot race with Inter.
Kondogbia about not being called up by Deschamps recently: “I can understand it. Many players have shown themselves on the big stage and some of them in my role. This is not a problem for me. I have five caps with the French national team, games where I was a starter and did well. But I never took the European Championship for granted.”
About the Champions League goal: “My family makes fun of me because I usually don’t watch games. But I mainly do not watch the Champions games, because I miss playing those kind of games. I miss those sensations. Qualifying for the Champions League is the goal for Inter. Being out of it two years in a row would start to be too much (Kondogbia played in the CL with Monaco last season).”
