Icardi is not for sale. Such is the position Inter has held and continues to hold regarding the hot-topic striker.
Erick Thohir has met with Inter club management and Suning officials this week in New York. Contract talks are set to kick off after the transfer window as Erick Thohir has moved to keep the Inter captain.
“Icardi? I consider his value above €60 million” said the Indonesian shareholder.
“He is important for our team, but you know that football is fluid. Things can change throughout time at a time at a club, including the players. But this is not the moment for change. We want to keep Icardi because of this.”
Napoli have submitted multiple offers, all turned down thus so far by the Nerazzurri. Sources within the club maintain that for the rival Serie A club to purchase him it would take closer to €70 million. De Laurentiis has not been deterred insofar however.
