Inter continues to deal with Portuguese teams in this year mercato. First was with Sporting Lisbon for the purchase of Joao Mario and this time around is with Benfica for the sale of Pedro Delgado. According to FCINTER1908.IT and GdS, Pedro Delgado, a 19-year-old Portuguese winger, is set to join Benfica for 300,000 euros plus 10% of a future sale of the young winger. It is worth noting that Pedro Delgado was in the last year of his current contract with Inter and thus could potentially leave for free in the near future. However, his agent—out of respect for Inter and the investment that club has made for the professional growth of his client—sought to find a club that was willing to sign his client for a fee. And that club was Benfica, whose youth head coach admires the player. On his Facebook account, Pedro Delgado thanks Inter, his teammates, coaches, and fans for the three years spent together. And now he looks forward to his new adventure in his homeland.
