It seems that contacts between Napoli and Inter for possible sales of their respective players will continue unabated until the end of mercato. And the failed transfer of Davide Santon seems did not in any way deter both parties to continue negotiations for other players. In addition to Mauro Icardi, Napoli is going after Danilo D’Ambrosio following its failure in acquiring the service of Mattia De Sciglio of A.C. Milan. It is important to note that earlier this month Inter had rejected Napoli’s offers for D’Ambrosio and Icardi, preferring to retain the service of the players for the upcoming season. However, Inter is reportedly interested in signing Napoli attacking players, specifically Manolo Gabbiadini and Lorenzo Insigne. As such, GdS predicted an increase in negotiations between the two clubs approaching the end of mercato, with one or two players possibly moving in the opposite direction.
