According to FCINTER1908.IT, Inter and Sporting Lisbon have finally found an agreement for the transfer of Joao Mario to Inter. The Nerazzurri essentially will have to pay €45 million for the service of the 23-year-old versatile midfielder. The imminent sale of the Portuguese midfielder to Inter would be the most profitable sale in Sporting Lisbon’s history.
Previously, despite Joao Mario’s wish to join Inter, his employer was reluctant to see him leave unless his €60 million buyout clause was triggered. Now that the agreement has been reached, the player is expected to be in Milan on Monday, August 15, to sign a five-year contract with Inter worth € 3 million per year.
Joao Mario had a great season last year with Sporting Lisbon and was part of the Portuguese national team that lifted Euro 2016.
