The coach of Chievo Verona, Rolando Maran, spoke to Rai Due about the victory against Inter, here is what he had to say:
“I’d give the gold to Birsa for the two goals against Inter in the league, but third place will do, we hope to be on more podiums. The most important thing is this, we expected a different Inter, we expected them in a way that was different to how they turned up. We made our measurements, we managed to grow during the game, then we scored two goals after key plays. I think that this is a just reward for the entire team that was fielded tonight. We have started in the right way, the way in which we need to win on the pitch and during the week in training. I’m pleased because even last year, this team met it’s objectives so could have stopped doing things right. Instead they continued, they have started in the same way”.
