Inter’s number 10 Stevan Jovetic will not stay with the Nerazzuri for the 2016-17 season. The Italian club signed him from Man City last summer on a two-season loan deal with compulsory buy-out clause.
Inter will be forced to activate the € 14.5 million buy-out clause after Jovetic’s next appearance with the club or, if Inter fail to play the Montenegro star by the end of the year, provided that Inter are not in the relegation zone on the 31st of December.
Inter do not want to trigger Jovetic’s buy-out clause for two reasons: the first one is tactical as Jovetic would not get enough game time this season. The second reason is economic: Inter can’t afford paying the player’s transfer fee.
What does the future have in store for the former Man City star?
Ausilio of course, is working to sell the player on a permanent deal, but most of the clubs that are interested have only made loan offers.
Fiorentina are dreaming of the return of Jo-Jo, but they are not willing to pay € 14.5 million and they can’t even guarantee the player the same € 3 million-a-year-salary that Jovetic is currently getting at Inter. Premier League clubs have made loan offers, whilst Zenit St. Petersburg have only sounded out Inter, without making official proposals.
Jovetic is for sale, but who is going to sign him for € 14.5 million?
