With Inter you could immediately feel that we were on the same page. The president had dinner with us, wanted to speak to Gabriel in order to convince him. The new owners told me they wanted to do the same with Inter as has been done with clubs like Chelsea and Manchester City. They presented a wonderful project in which Gabriel was included. They want to make Inter the best team in Europe and started with spending 45 million Euro on Joao Mario and then went on to pursue Gabriel. Another reason for choosing Inter was Frank De Boer. He was eager to get information about Gabriel, wanted to speak to him about how he wants to play, so he could get an idea of how to use him on the pitch.
