With the international break over for the month of September, here is how the Inter Milan players fared in their respective World Cup qualifiers.
Ever Banega of Argentina: didn’t feature against Uruguay in 1-0 win, played entire 90 minutes in 2-2 draw against Venezuela.
Jheison Murillo of Colombia: played both matches entirely against Venezuela (2-0 win) and Brazil (2-1 loss).
Gabigol of Brazil: did not play any minutes against Ecuador (4-0 win) and Colombia (2-1 win).
Miranda of Brazil: played both matches against Ecuador and Colombia, scored opening goal against Colombia.
Gary Medel of Chile: played in a 2-1 loss against Paraguay, but was sent off in the last minute.
Marcelo Brozovic of Croatia: played 26 minutes in 1-1 draw against Turkey.
Ivan Perisic of Croatia: played entire match in a 1-1 draw against Turkey.
Antonio Candreva of Italy: played 67 minutes and scored a goal against Israel in a 3-1 win.
Eder of Italy: played 19 minutes against Israel in a 3-1 win.
Geoffrey Kondogbia of France: did not play against Belarus in a 0-0 draw.

Miranda and Murillo played 2 full games and are doing a 16hr flight. We better press Pescara hard so they can never get out of their own half of the pitch. We need 2-3 quick goals in the first 20 min. Otherwise, it can turn ugly and it’s Juve next. Italian media is waiting for the first chance to start talking about Inter in crisis and trash talk all the players and rob them of their confidence. Then FDB will feel the pressure and start playing Naga, Melo and Palacio as most “experienced” hahaha
Jovetic is apparently so unwanted at Inter that even this site doesnt want to bring news of his performance….
He scored vs Romania in their WC qualifier…
Also, Joao Mario and Miague.
Also Kondogbia didn’t play against Italy.
Why isn’t Gabigol playing? I was so psyched to watch him play. :/
me too.. but honestly I wasn’t disappointed.. it’s better for him not to play National team games at the beginning of the season and avoid unnecessary injuries and fatigue.. will be waiting for him with Inter
hopefully he does very well and we become happy about our 30m investment in him
no space for him, sorry to say this he is not even that good don’t know why we paid 30m for him and why we wanted him right away not from January, who is he gonna replace? who is he better than? do we have time to experience with young player after not collecting any wins in our first two games?
It’s weird tho. He was tried as a starter in the training sessions right before their first match against Equador. And then they replaced him. And we give him a month’s rest right after he announced he’s going straight to Italy. I hope it’s not a health or fitness issue.
gs surpassed him real quick, I only wanted gs
“Do we have time with young guns”? We should! If not, then whats the point of choosing De Boer then? two games are too few to judge this team.. Let’s just wait and see
Cuz Gabriel Jesus is playin in his place, but Gabigol deserves to be a starter. It’s like Thiago Silva’s case, I think he has problems with the coach.
Me too, after all the media reports that he’d be a starter, I watched both of Brazil’s game but I only saw Gabriel Jesus and he played pretty good. I was like WTF, did we sign the wrong Gabriel?
Brazil played a hell of a game against Colombia, btw. Marcelo, Coutinho and Neymar completely dominated play, dribbling opponents, giving hidden passes and all kinds of trickery. kinda reminded me of Cafu, Bebeto and Romario. It was beautiful and painful at the same time, thinking we sold Coutinho for cheap. We need a player with his creativity and drive so bad.
