Inter and Suning have reached a multi-year agreement on naming rights of both senior and youth team training grounds. Furthermore, there is a sponsorship in place for the training kit.
From today onwards, Appiano Gentile will be known as the “The Suning Training Centre in memory of Angelo Moratti” and “Interello”, the youth training base, will be known as the “The Suning Training Centre in memory of Giacinto Facchetti.”
Suning now have the right to display the Suning brand in a multitude of Inter areas. At the training bases, Suning billboards will be present. On top of this, their logo will appear on press room backdrops and the LED display. At San Siro, the Suning logo will be broadcast on the television screens and be present on the backdrops in the mixed zone and in the players tunnel.
Inter’s chief revenue officer Michael Gandler had the following to say on the deal: “This partnership is an important step for Inter as we continue to more effectively monetise the value of our assets. Through this partnership Suning can expect major branding opportunities, increased global media coverage and direct fan engagement on Inter’s digital and media platforms. We also expect to further develop other core areas of our business through Suning including, e-commerce, retail and media. Suning.com is one of the top three on-line retailer platforms in China and Inter has a hundreds of millions of followers globally, a large proportion of which are in China. This agreement will give the Suning brand increased visibility in China and provide for a platform in Europe for potential future expansion.”
