In today’s edition, Gazzetta dello Sport focuses on Suning’s project to make Inter’s roster more Italian. The idea is there, now it’s time to materialise it. In addition to that, the idea of getting top foreign players is also part of the project (Manolas, Ricardo Rodriguez but also attackers like Aguero, Reus, Sanchez and James Rodriguez are on Ausilio’s agenda).

Besides the already confirmed (Gagliardini, D’Ambrosio, Candreva, Eder and Andreolli), there is also room for the youngster Pinamonti. Here are the players followed by the Chinese management, starting with the goalkeeper: “Ausilio is currently observing Alessio Cragno and Alex Meret. The first is a 22-year old that plays in Benevento but is owned by Cagliari. The second has made impressive performances in Italy’s Under-23 team. Meret, class of -97, is considered to be one of the most talented Italian goalkeepers at the moment. Should Handanovic leave, Inter eyes are instead on Mattia Perin, class of 92 and the third choice in the Italian national team behind Buffon and Donnarumma”.

For the other roles, the list is long. In defence, Inter is currently following Manolas, Semedo, Joao Cancelo, Vrsaljko and of course Ricardo Rodriguez. In addition to that we have Darmian, Acerbi, Bastoni and Barreca. For the midfield, the dream is still Verratti but alternatives are Benassi and Melegoni. In attack, there have been multiple attempts to get either Berardi or Bernardeschi. With Caprari off the table, Inter attention has now turned towards two young talents that just recently started to bloom: Chiesa and Di Francesco.
