Stefano Pioli spoke to Inter Channel after Inter’s 1-0 loss in Turin: “We are certainly angry because the performance was there and we deserved another result. The episodes of the match were decisive and in a few of them it was out of our hands: there were others where they needed to make different decisions from the ones that were made. I like it when the referee’s stay out of the run of play, but here the referee was there when the push was made so something is wrong. Too bad, but we’re getting closer to the top teams. We gave up a second and we lost the game: we need to improve on these details. We must immediately start [preparation for Empoli and Bologna]. As we’ve always done, we’ll analyse our performance, the good and the bad. Now we have the conviction that the team is on par with Juventus. Work is ahead. In the second half we had a couple of very favourable situations in which we made the right choices but Juve waited. Were the players tired after Lazio? I saw more tired Juventus players, we are healthy. The difference was a dead-ball. We felt that we can play our cards, so there is much disappointment. Rugani on the field at the end instead of Dybala? It must be a lesson: to bring home the result you do everything. We can still take off satisfactions and push until May 28 to get into the positions that count.”
