Pioli finally spoke to Inter Channel to gave an insight about the match:
“We took good control of the game, we scored 5 and created 5 more. But we need to be better in management. In 2nd half there were few instances where we could have easily avoided doing some mistakes. Then we give a little bit too much, we can improve in these situations. To win at certain levels must maintain concentration and need to be evil.”
He then reflected his views on a top 3 finish:
”We can only bet on ourselves knowing that they must do something wrong. It was important to win, knowing that the work we are doing is positive. We believed in ourselves and deliver, we have to do it until the end.”
Afterwards he addressed the criticism:
“Those who have experience in this field knows that there is no certainty or equilibrium in football. They make you feel like phenomenon when you win and then they will castigate you after defeats. We have the qualities and we count on that. We believe in ourselves and we want to build on it. Today we have some astonishing numbers but on Saturday it will again be a totally different game.”
