Burgnich: “Inter has the ability to keep up with Juve, Pioli is important to Inter”

Former Inter defender Tarcisio Burgnich spoke to Tutto Mercato Web on Stefano Pioli and Inter in general: “Inter has the ability to keep up with Juventus. There has been confusion in the club that has lacked a strong leader but now things have changed, Pioli has put Inter back on track. At Juventus I do not see phenomena and Inter are back there. Juve’s strength is the organisation of their club, Inter have now found the right set-up. What is important, and I say this as a former player and manager, is that there is a link between the club and the coach. The coach needs to be supported, otherwise he is in trouble. Pioli has managed to give a chance to everyone, therefore there are no bad feelings. Pioli is important but should be helped, I repeat. Otherwise Inter need a Helenio Herrera or a José Mourinho, one that has the power to impose himself on the players. If the players there are, there must be those who have the right mind to impose their own ideas.”
