Yuto Nagatomo continues to have the confidence of Japan coach Vahid Halihodzic, who does not want to deprive Yuto or Keisuke Honda a chance of making the national team squads.
The two have been called up against the Arab Emirates and Thailand for World Cup Qualifiers. In a press release, the Bosnian explained, “Honda and Nagatomo play for big European clubs and even if they’re just practicing, you can trust them. If I don’t call them up it’s because I see players better than them. But, so far, nothing. Their presence is very important to me and the team.”
