Casiraghi: “Zola and myself were in contention for the Inter job until the last second”

Gianfranco Zola‘s assistant Pierlugi Casiraghi spoke to SportMediaset on the casting for the Inter job that Stefano Pioli would be given: “Gianfranco and his staff, myself included, were in contention until the last second, then the choice has fell on Pioli. Too bad, because it would be a great opportunity for us but Inter is a great club and Pioli is achieving excellent results.”
