Gigi Simoni, former Inter coach, spoke with TMW Radio about Inter’s current situation. Starting with Mauro Icardi, and his statement yesterday:
“We are talking about a player of great quality who scores many goals and is the captain. Tactically, he is helping the team as well. I think he has everything to do with Inter’s great form.”
Simoni also expressed his approval of Stefano Pioli:
“He did very well, giving a mentality to a team that before his arrival seemed to have no rhythm or purpose. Pioli is a quiet guy, modest, but of great quality”.
“If I were the Inter coach would have liked today? Antonio Candreva and Ivan Perisic because they not only score goals, but also support, which is not common among important players”.
