Very frustrating match. We looked uninspired and off. I didn’t understand what was happening half the game. Everything that could’ve gone wrong went wrong. Our finishing was shit and there were 2 Barn D’or candidates this game, one by Candreva and even one worse by Icardi. Our goal was offside but 2 chances were wrongfully called offside, one of which was a pure goal. I mean Sampdoria scored 2 and hit the post 2 times and we still should’ve won, it was a really weird match. When can you say you were more unlucky when the opposing team hit the post 2 times LOL. Brozović did a retard move and just casually stroked the ball away with his hand on a free kick. And even worse, ref needed like a solid minute to decide it was actually a penalty. Like players were standing there waiting for what was actually called… Line refs made like 5 error with offside calls this game. A really weird and utterly bizzare match. Players would sometimes just wonder off the ball or something like that and ruin chances, like they were drunk. As far as the players go,Perišić seems to be back after that horrible game against Torino, while Banega seems to have lurked off back to the shadows. Brozović’s failed shots and Candreva’s failed crosses almost made me pull out all my hair, so frustrating. I think if there was any extremely optimistic Inter fan left hoping for CL, he just entered the cruel cold world. With some bad luck, we could even miss out on EL.

Agreed, icardi doesnt contribute to holding the ball or anything like that, he kills our attacks cause we play a man down because the playmakers cant rely on him to hold the ball for a give and go properly, play eder in his spot and we would have way more fluidity, icardi is a phenomenal finisher but we cant afford to be patient and wait for him to “carry us to champions league” in X amount of seasons, if we were a top team like barca madrid or bayern then we could afford to slowly ease him into things but he would be a great super sub imo, who cares if he scores 20 goals and asissts, were still 6th place, id rather have no top scorers on the charts and be top 3 thanks to team play.
