Jurgen Klinsmann spoke with Panorama.it on his Inter past: “Inter is my second family. It was first and most important move I made in my life, but I do not see me, on the Inter bench, for now. My 15 year old daughter attends high school in the States and now I can’t relocate now. I try to balance work and family, for twenty years I have lived in the United States. When I was coach of Bayern Munich I made 42 trips between Germany and California The work of Giovanni Trapattoni was very important, he is a master of tactics. In my first year maybe there was a bit of fulfilment. When you’re among the top teams in Serie A or the Bundesliga or the Premier League, you wont make a difference with great players, everyone has great players, the difference is made through having the right mentality with determination, with the ability to handle stress through mental coaching.”

Klinsmann then spoke on a recent meeting with former Inter manager Corrado Orrico: “He had some good ideas, he deserved better luck, unfortunately he paid for not getting the results. His method is a way to improve technique but also speed, agressivity and to improve decision making when put under pressure through few rapid touches. Some parts of his methodology I also used with the US national team.”

He concluded his interview speaking on former Inter president Ernesto Pellegrini and former Inter keeper Astutillo Malgioglio: “When I left Germany, at age 25, to come to Milan I started to learn about the world. I was greeted by an exceptional environment, first by President Pellegrini, always attentive to relationship between humans. He taught us to take care of the people when you love someone. As for Tito, he was unique, intelligent and sensitive. It is unbelievable what he does for the club with disabled children. It represented a point of reference, an example of what priorities you should have in life and that is not all encompassed all alone inside a ball. ”
