SempreInter.com Player Ratings – Inter 2 – 2 Milan: Disappointing Draw

Inter dropped 2 points today as Zapata equalized for Milan in the 97th minute with literally the last kick of the game. Did any players particularly impress? Who was responsible for dropping the 2 points?

Samir Handanovic – 6:  This game sums up Handanovic well. Some fantastic saves and came off the line quite a few times, but couldn’t lead his team to what they should’ve got.

Danilo D’Ambrosio – 5.5: Worst performance in weeks. Deulofeu ran rings around him in the 2nd half as he played too deep and his lack of pace showed. Didn’t attack in the 2nd half at all.

Gary Medel – 5.5: At fault for the goal as he played Zapata onside in the last minute. Before that he was doing very well and was our best defender on the pitch. Pitbull.

Joao Miranda – 5: Generally produces a performance regardless of his team mates. At fault for the first goal. Never looked calm and collected even when we were 2 nil up.

Yuto Nagatomo – 5.5: Did his job fairly well. He did his job on Suso and generally his side didn’t produce anything too dangerous. Until the end I don’t remember him struggling.

Roberto Gagliardini – 5.5: Poor start and the rustiness of being out of action was clear to see. Recovered and teamed up well with Kondogbia. Then we started playing too deep.

Geoffrey Kondogbia – 6: Was a monster in midfield, won a lot of balls started a lot of moves and even pressed along with J.Mario when he had the chance. Looked tired at the end.

Antonio Candreva – 5.5: Yes he got the goal. He wasted too many chances when we were countering, cant remember him dribbling past any defenders at all. Poor apart from one moment.

Joao Mario – 6.5: He alongwith Kondogbia were like an insurmountable mountain for Milan. This kind of performance should keep him off the bench for Pioli surely.

Ivan Perisic – 7: Ivan has returned. The reason why Nagatomo looked so secure is Perisic. Had a fantastic game and created a brilliant goal worthy of 3 points. Class is permanent.

Mauro Icardi – 6.5: Didn’t really get involved a lot for the first 20 mins. Romagnoli used all his strength with him but he only had to be right once. Broke his derby curse.

Eder – 4.5: I don’t remember him dissapointing Pioli off the bench. Today though this supersub failed to do anything note-worthy.A tired Icardi ran more than him.

Jeison Murillo – 4.5: Right now Murillo is good news for Inter’s opponents, didn’t make us defend better at all. Struggling to remember when he made a decent tackle.

Jonathan Biabiany: –  Yes he’s alive. I don’t know what else to say apart from the fact that this substitution might be the final straw to break Barbosa’s metaphorical back.

Stefano Pioli – 5: First half from heaven, 2nd from hell. His supersub dissapointed him and then he couldn’t even make proper adjustments to hold on. Lost the points at half time.

Daniele Orsato – 4.5: A lot of decisions in the 2nd half were poor. Missed a obvious red card on Locatelli, didn’t call Bacca’s foul on Handanovic. Injury time math was all over the place.

Inter – 4.5: First half was how we should play all the time every time. 2nd half is how we should never play. We lack the mentality of a big club. Today’s game is proof.
