There’s yet to be a final conclusion on the contract extension of Dries Mertens with the Italian giants, Napoli. As reported today by Il Mattino, the president Aurelio De Laurentiis is not clear with the Belgian‘s future:
If he does not renew his contract he will remain a year with Napoli and then become a free agent. For this reason, it appears that the former PSV has softened his intentions, although his wife has always made it clear that she wants a future away from Napoli. Crucial times for the 29 year old who must make a decisive decision on the extension of his contract.
