Sky’s Andrea Paventi is present at Appiano Gentile and reported on the extended retreat: “At 12-12.15 all the players came, now they are all at lunch and the withdrawal has officially begun. At 3pm there will be the first sitting of the longest retreat in the current season. The leadership is all present in Appiano, awaiting the arrival of Jindong Zhang at the weekend. There will be one session a day with the exception of a double session on Saturday. There is the idea of preparing like you would in the summer.”
