Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas reiterated in a press conference his confidence in his squad while mentioning his team and France’s Ligue 1 has nothing to envy from Italy.

The Frenchman said, “Lyon is the best French club in the last 10 years. We’ve played great matches against Italian teams like Juventus and we are among the few who have defeated Monaco at their home. Teams like Manchester United, AC Milan and Inter have been worse than us since then. Players, coaches and fans know this.”
