Argentinian goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo also made his last match for Inter tonight and was interviewed by Inter Channel after the emphatic 5-2 win at home at the San Siro against Udinese.
“It is a special night. I am leaving, I am very happy to have been part of this family. I leave peacefully and with a clean conscience because I have always given everything I have, I have always looked to be positive from the bench.”
Carrizo was asked if the last season’s 3-0 win at home against Juventus in the Coppa Italia was his fondest memory of his tenure with the Nerazzurri to which he replied: “Yes, no-one believed it could happen. It was an important match. We played with a lot of grit but then in the end the penalties are down to luck. But for me playing less, it meant everything. My future? In all honesty Inter asked me if I wanted to renew but the time has arrived for me to play more regularly. This is why I have decided to leave the club. The evening with Palacio? We joked a lot, the boys were joking a lot with us. Everyone said goodbye to us, also at Appiano Gentile. I am very happy and I will carry these feelings inside me” Carrizo concluded.
