Fiorentina’s sporting director Carlos Freitas spoke exclusively to Corriere Fiorentino about a range of matters including Federico Bernardeschi, Borja Valero and Stefano Pioli.
On Bernardeschi: “We moved and he is giving us an answer. For us he is a special player and for this reason we didn’t want to put a clause on the contract renewal.”
On Borja Valero: “He is a contracted player. He was indispensable for Sousa and he has built a beautiful story in Florence.”
On Pioli: “He made a great impression. He was very well-prepared, interested and he knows the pressure he has to win.”
