“I always think of Jose Mourinho as an example of an ideal Inter manager, I can say that Spalletti has great character and is a serious professional.” This was stated by former Inter chairman Massimo Moratti in an exclusive interview with Radiouno.
He continued the discussion on the new duo of Sabatini and Ausilio who are working in the market: “You need a few professional reference points and Borja Valero represents that. I think Inter need to improve their defence, while in attack I hope Mauro Icardi can start to express himself consistently. He’s got what it takes, but has to prove it in the difficult games. It would be nice to see him accompanied by another great striker, but these decisions are up to the manager, just as they would’ve been even if I had still been President.”
Moratti then commented on AC Milan’s mercato: “Milan are moving very well and to be honest I didn’t expect that. I don’t know some of the players they signed, while they did well to resolve the Donnarumma issue and have a good manager. Leonardo Bonucci used to be with Inter, so now seeing him play for Juventus or Milan makes no difference. Juve always seem to make very wise signings and we’ll have to see if they can overcome the blow of that Champions League final defeat.”
