Luciano Spalletti continues to believe in the Inter sport directors Walter Sabatini and Piero Ausilio to find 3-4 new players for the squad before arriving in Nanjing or Singapore. According to Corriere dello Sport, financial help will arrival with the departures of the players labeled as “not important” by Spalletti:
Santon, Murillo, Medel (Valencia is interested), Ranocchia (Set to join West Brom), Brozovic, Biabiany and Jovetic (Sevilla have lost interest). Since Inter have increased their revenue and balanced the budget for the 2018-19 season, therefore, allowing Suning to invest a lot, but will not go all out like Milan.
The Inter mercato has some very clear guidelines: a central defender, for example, is the top priority at the moment. The names that are circulating for weeks now are; Inigo Martinez (Release clause of 3M), Toulouse’s Diop, De Vrij and Ajax’s Davinson Sanchez. For the left-back position, Inter have decided to wait for Dalbert leaving Barcelona’s Digne as an alternative.
In the midfield, the difficult names of Nainggolan, Vidal and Kroos appear – Spalletti really likes them and is hoping to obtain one of the stars. For a simpler target, Sassuolo’s Duncan is on Inter’s wish list, however, Sassuolo have slammed a 20M Euro price tag. Naby Keita and N’Zonzi are both unrealistic targets.
With the departure of Perisic, there will be the two wingers added: Anthony Martial, (may be a part of the Perisic deal. Smalling is also an option) and Leverkusen’s Julian Brandt. Both wingers know how to play left and right – however, Keita Balde is the favorite out of all of them but Lazio’s President, Claudio Lotito, only wants a big sum of cash and Juve is lurking. Ausilio has proposed Arda Turan as an alternative.
