Three praises and a criticism made by Gazzetta dello Sport for the Inter-Lyon friendly match. The newspaper awarded Joao Mario man of the match alongside Jovetic and Kondogbia; however, not so much for Gabigol:
Joao Mario: “Played for almost 80 minutes without losing intensity. A jewel of tenacity and geometry helps Jovetic.”
Jovetic: “Like a year ago, displayed beautiful flashes, he understands football, it is not up for discussion.”
Kondogbia: “The medical team healed his ankle, then he broke into the game and getting clean balls. Linked up nicely with Perisic.”
Gabigol: “The more he tried, the more he got soaked up, the usual cheers from the fans but also the usual mistakes. Useless.”

just give him chance to develop as player we make mistake with cautinho i don’t wanta to see histroy repeat
“The more he tried, the more he got soaked up”? What does that mean? He got soaked up in his ego? I sometimes have no idea what these google translations mean.
BTW, Gabigol has been doing OK this pre-seaon. He was a little selfish on a couple of occasions against Lyon, but had already shown he could be a decent team player in the last two games. He should still raise his game a bit more to be able to break into the first team, though.
I still support gabi, not because we bought him expensively, but because he has a big heart and never give up
Gabigol is a fan favorite, I think..
If backed up with great performance, he would be easily loved.
gabigol was actually decent…
Lost all respect for Gazzetto. Not there was much to begin with.
Gazzetta dello Sport — USELESS TOILET PAPER.
useless is too harsh, he need to play more and learn team play, what concern me is his physicality he fall too much whenever get contacted by opposition
Why GDS doesn’t praised or criticized Candreva’s performance?
He’s Italian.
Italian media is usually biased in favour of Italians, even if they suck.
Wow. He stole the ball and passed it to Mario for the goal. He was good but too selfish. Maybe he wanted to prove his worth to Spaletti. Usless is too harsh of him. Candreva was useless thou.
I wouldn’t say he was useless, I liked what I have seen from him so far in the preseason. The only thing you can blame him for is being selfish but can you blame him? He wants to prove himself and we barely give him any playtime.
They judge him way to much, they didn’t say anything about his pass to Mario that should’ve been a goal or his long ball to dambrosio? his passing is better than candrevas in my opinion, he cuts in and lets the full back run up and get the cross rather than candreva who just passes or tries to dribble everyone and loses it or crosses the ball to no one. I think he should start or at least be a sub every game. Hes got the pace, he could be a little faster and a little stronger but brazilians are usually more skill based than power but hes got the vision, the passion, the determination and definitely the skill to play. Hes even said countless times he wants to prove himself and loves the shirt he plays for.
he should improve and wider his vision especially as a team player, but he’s still young, right? he still has a lot of room for improvement in him. Hope Spalletti did his job well to skyrocketing Gabi’s ability.
True, he’s only 20 years old and still everyone keeps judging him like he’s 28 years old… he’s improving compared to last year, and he was the man who regained possession in the game stealing the ball from a Lyon defender so Jojo could pass it to Mario
Gabigol showed some good movements and passing skills, sure he’s finishing wasn’t there that’s because of fatigue, heat or the bumpy ground you fukwits, the guy is only 20 give him a break.
Way more effective than Candreva nonetheless.
