Last night, Besiktas’ emissaries met Inter midfielder Gary Medel in Milan along with his agent. By now the transfer to Istanbul is well set, for a fee of around €4million.
The Chilean will be able to play the Champions League, a little bit of detail that has made him opt for Turkey rather than for Erick Thohir’s DC United, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Medel had also been linked with a move to Argentina, specifically Boca Juniors, after it became clear he is not part of Luciano Spalletti’s plans.
