i still prefer aurier to this guy.. we already have dalbert on the left who likes going forward but not that good defensively, just like cancelo.
From what I watched on YouTube this guy will be huge upgrade for what we have atm… I don’t have problem with trying new backs… Both diambo and Naga suck we might as well try new backs even if they can’t defend they offer more on attacking…

Defensively he’s not on par with Dumbo. I know ya’all hate Dumbo, I hate him too but he offers some stuff defensively. Italian coaches like their backs to know how to defend, so I’m afraid even if we get Cancello he will be benched for Dumbo

I can easily disqualify your argument by naming only one name: Yuto Fagatomo.
Dumbo had a decent season and made it to Italian national team. His fuckups are though usually unnoticed when Fagatomo plays at the same time. So now that Dalbert plays, you can see how he kills the tempo of play.

Its a fact that Dumbo made the most individual errors that lead to goals, there is nothing to dispute here. Nagatomo sucks, but thats irrelevant to the issue here. No one in the team makes more decisive brainfarts than Dumbo does.
Dumbo suffers from the same illness that Ranocchia, burdisso Chivu etc etc = being prone making brainfarts. He has been doing it his entire career.
It was actually Dumbos offensive game with 3 goals and 3 assists that saved his 16/17 season slightly. Defensively he was a disaster and caused more goals due to individual errors than anyone else.

I agree. He is often caught off gaurd, and the other players speed right past him, and usually ends up as a goal for them.
he played a lot as an RW aswell in Valencia, so he could be a potential alternative to both dumbo and Candreva. if we could get him on a loan for one of the useless kondogbia/murillo pair it definetly worths a try, even tho defensively he’s not the best option
if you play in italy reagrdless of your position/role , u should know how to defend , if you’re not good at defending you’re forced to learn and you eventually will, so im not concerned with people complaining about his only weakness underestimating his uniqueness
Well I definitely would prefer Aurier, but on the bright side, I imagine Cancelo can’t be worse than “not maicon” who sucks at both defending and attacking.
