Inter midfielder Ivan Perisic will imminently sign a new contract, completely putting the idea of an exit to bed in the immediate future. Corriere dello Sport report that the Croatian, who joined back in 2015 on an initial five year deal through to 2020, will see his salary raised to €4.6 million per season. There will also be goal and assist related bonuses in the contract.

The 28 year old winger looked set to leave the Nerazzurri at the start of the mercato as Premier League outfit Manchester United courted him. Perisic would agree personal terms with the Red Devils but the club never could meet Inter’s demands for him and saw a number of offers rejected.

Perisic has started the season in fine form, grabbing a goal and three assists in the opening two Serie A fixtures where Inter have been victorious on both occasions.
