Arsenal were ready to sell Shkodran Mustafi to Inter in the recently closed mercato but two things stopped them doing so. The Daily Star report that the Gunners were prepared to sell the German but were unable to find a replacement at such short notice. Moreover, Mustafi, who joined the Emirates club in the summer of 2016’s wage demands were part of the deal collapsing.
