Speaking to GazzaTV, former Inter defender Christian Chivu talked about a range of things, from his new job to his opinions on the state of Inter at the moment.

“I’ve taken this road now and that’s what I like. Working with young and professional people, I feel good,” the Romanian says about his job as a commentator.

“I was expecting this start from Inter, the group is there, maybe they just needed the motivation and the experience of a coach like Luciano Spalletti. I was lucky enough to work in Rome for two years, I know him very well and I know what he is capable of. I know what can convey, I hope they can continue as they have started but the road is long.

“Spalletti is a fussy coach, who has worked so hard on the pitch. He cares for all the details which is good for a team that has been up and down like Inter. Spalletti is the big deal.”

As for on the pitch, there were three players that got special mentions from Chivu.

“If you look at the numbers on the pitch, Mauro Icardi and Ivan Perisic have been decisive. Then I’m happy to find a defender as Milan Skriniar is doing very well, showing his physical qualities.”
