Inter coach Luciano Spaleetti and his Bologna counterpart, Roberto Donadoni have decided to field the following 22 players in tonight’s Serie A fixture at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara in Emilio Romagna.
Luciano Spalletti has decided to make two changes to the Nerazzurri team that started at the Stadio Ezio Scida against Crotone on Saturday with Yuto Nagatomo replacing Dalbert on the left side of defence whilst Matias Vecino replaces Roberto Gagliardini in the middle of the pitch.
Donadoni has decided to rest former Inter striker Rodrigo Palacio who starts on the bench. Aside from that it is two expected starting line-ups:

From Guarin’s endless shooting we went to Candreva’s endless crossing. Sooner or later they score or assist and then we forgive them. Magic circle.
The thing is guarin could score sometimes. The guy’s game was at least beautiful half the time unlike candreva.

I think Spalletti should take the risk and play Skriniar as an DM, he is a great interceptor with good long passes, and Rano in the defense, yes our defense will be weaker but at least the mid will improve defensively.
Problem is because Ranocchia is our go-to defender, if he gets injured and Miranda/Škriniar get red carded, we’re done.
I really hope we’ll have money to spend this winter, even if we win all games until then we need atleast 3 players
– a very good CB
– a Spalletti-esque CAM ( someone like Nainggolan )
– a proper anchor that can defend and pass the ball well ( someone like Busquets )

So two players. Not sure we will even get that though. Think this is the last year of our FFP settlement though, so hopefully we invest big next summer.
I’m still dazzled that this midfield managed 12/12 points even if games against SPAL and Crotone were obvious wake up calls which were obviously not answered. There is no real destroyer in the midfield and there is no real trequartista. Joao Mario/Valero should play in Vecino’s place alongside a pure destroyer and in front of them should be a Wesley Sneijder kind of player who can pass and shoot, player who is a threat in midfield, not Joao Mario who can’t shoot but has many other qualities that would be very useful in the core of midfield. These problems need to be addresed if we are sticking to 4231. We just made Bologna look like Barcelona.

This mercato was just dead average for us IMO. We needed a great DM instead of vecino the slowmo and an attacking mid that could score for a change.
Beside the mistake Vecino is at least combining with players but Borja is incredibly shocking. I saw him gift possession with terrible touches, zero creativity and no defensive coverage.

Vecino was very good but didn’t have support from Valero. I think Valero shouldn’t start every game, fatigue caused him many mistakes. We didn’t keep the ball. So we had to run a lot. Bad game and a very good Bologna.
He should not start against smaller teams. His stats are very average for creative midfield and we all know about his zero defensive contribution.

Mario should be as far away from goal as possible. The guy is great at passing, but horrible when it comes to scoring. He wasted so many opportunities already this season.
I feel like Mario’s inability to shoot is becoming legendary. You wouldn’t believe it without seeing it. He mucks up the easiest chances. I can’t understand how he can be so skillful with his passes and dribbles but can never hit the target.
