The season for Benevento has started horribly, last place in the standings and with no such points obtained. Even with the negatives out comes a positive which is from the play of Danilo Cataldi, midfielder class of 1994. Cataldi shows exceptional qualities and technique in addition to his strong physique. The ex-Lazio man has played 7 total games included 1 TIM CUP match totaling 575 minutes with one total assist. His strong play has simply raised the eyes of scouts including those from the Nerazzurri.
The contractual situation of the Ex- Genoa player is clear, Cataldi was obtained by Benevento with a formula of loan with obligation to buy for 6 Million Euro but with a buy-back clause for Lazio at 9 Million Euro solely if Benevento are to salvage themselves back into Serie A. The season though one month and a half old, Benevento does have time to get back on track. It would be interesting to see where things go with Cataldi come Summer of 2018 during the mercato session.
