Inter have three contract renewals in the works according to Premium Sport. Goalkeeper Samir Handanovic and young defender Zinho Vanheusden are expected to pen new deals in the near future while the Nerazzurri are also working on a new contract for captain Mauro Icardi which will almost certainly see his €110 million foreign release clause increased.
Icardi only signed a renewal two summers ago that saw him become the clubs highest earner and include the aforementioned clause. However, after Neymar’s €222 million move in the summer to PSG, it proved to Inter’s owners Suning that the €110 million was a figure that clubs can openly spend, particularly the European elite.
Handanovic meanwhile is under contract through to 2019 and a renewal would likely see him end his career with the club. Vanheusden is also under contract through to 2019 but has attracted interest due to his performances with the Inter Primavera last term.
