Inter have released a statement on the new three-year partnership with Volvo, providing further details as to what the partnership means for the club: “Thanks to Volvo, 70 cars will be provided that will ensure the mobility, safety and sustainability of FC Internazionale Milano. The renewal of the collaboration with Inter and the opening of the new Volvo Studio in a crucial city for business such as Milan shows the link between the company and a city which represents modernity and urban style.

The Nerazzurri then reminded fans of the last time the two companies collaborated back in 2007: “Volvo Car Italia and FC Internazionale Milano have a long and happy history of collaboration which began in 2007 and finished in the treble-winning year of 2010. A number of successes created a good relationship between Volvo and Inter. During the partnership, Volvo launched important products such as the XC60, V60 and V40 and events were held related to Inter’s centenary. The relationship therefore begins with a sense of mutual satisfaction with how things went in the past.”

“The link between Volvo Car Italia and FC Internazionale Milano expresses itself with many shared values such as security, reliability, respect for tradition, focus on innovation and modernity. Both Volvo Car Italia and FC Internazionale Milano are global brands, followed and appreciated across the world,” the statement posted on the club website continues.

The statement concludes, “By providing cars for Inter, Volvo is further confirming its role in sport. For years, Volvo has promoted large sporting events with golf and sailing the main priorities. The jewel in the crown is the Volvo Ocean Race which is considered one of the toughest challenges in sailing. The 2017-18 edition is set to start on 22nd October in Alicante (Spain) before finishing in June 2018 in The Hague (Netherlands).”
