Reported by Corriere Dello Sport, Serie A thus far in the 2017-2018 campaign has seen a very strong attendance number within the 1st seven weeks of the year.  The Serie A campaign has seen 215,000 spectators with an increase of 15.1% from last season.  This is an increase of 3,417 spectators compared to this time last season.

The league certainly have to thank both Milan clubs as San Siro has simply been the place to be on Sundays.  Of the top 10 matches in attendance this season, Milan vs roma obtained 61,698.  This number is soon to be shattered since Inter vs Milan for next Sunday has already become the biggest grossing ticket sales match in Serie A history at 4.5M Euro.  Last year the most attended match was Inter vs Juve with an attendance of 76,484.  On podium for this season top attendance is Inter vs Spal followed by the opening night match for Inter, vs Fiorentina.  The largest attended match at the Olimpico was for Roma vs Inter which had 49,388, slightly less was that of Milan-Udinese and behind them was Napoli-Benevento.
